Weekend in Fredericksburg, TX

fburg Hooray for the jolly, restful times last weekend. It's nice to step away from computer screens (big surprise!) and spend that time gushing over turkeys, llamas, horses and Mr. P (Caley's pug).

We went wine tasting in the afternoon, then headed to the ranch for some R&R. After that, we fancied ourselves to a show at Luckenbach, then back to the ranch for more snacks and scary stories.

I'd also like to mention that Julie and Beks (the two I made run in an open field for this photo) each ran 20 miles Friday night. That is over 3 hours and I know they have not been using their allotted brags, so I'm doing it for them. 40 miles, y'all. 40 miles.

Big thanks to Caley (the beauty above) and her sweet family for putting us up for the weekend. I need to start initiating these sorts of trips and carving out quiet retreats into my schedule.

Texans, do you know of any good weekend getaways within a few hours of Austin? I need to go to Marfa sometime, but I want more time than just Saturday and Sunday.
