The Roommate Book (published by Andrews McMeel, June 2016) is my second book. It’s an illustrated guide to making the most of roommate life. It’s full of flowcharts, art, short essays and hypotheticals that celebrate friendship and roommate life.
I founded Chipper Things (2.0) in 2016, as I completed my Adobe Creative Residency. We launched with over 80 products, and now the line includes flowcharts, pins, hats, art prints, cards and more. We're in dozens of retail stores across the US and Canada.
I'm the creative director, web designer, social media manager (and content creator), illustrator, product developer, CEO, intern and everything in between.
Bunglo is a collection of home goods inspired by the travels of owner and designer, Shay Spaniola. Bunglo is carried in retail stores across the US (and world!), including Anthropologie, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and more.
I created print materials for Shay to include in orders, as well as web banners and social media graphics.
I worked with Jessie Artigue to brand her new clothing line, Season. A few years ago she designed this dress for herself. She wanted something that was versatile, beautiful and comfortable. Fast forward to now, and she’s making it available to the rest of us. It’s made from 100% silk and sewn with love in the US.
Over makes great design accessible. Their 4,000+ editable templates make it easy for users to put text overlays on top of their photos and share on social media. In my time with Over, I created dozens of these typographic pieces.
I created the cover and provided the interior illustrations for Brad Weaver’s book, Creative Truth (Published by Focal Press).
I highly recommend this book for all freelancers.
Creative Truth is your playbook for starting, building, and enjoying a profitable design business. Whether you’re a solo freelancer working from home or a small group of creative entrepreneurs ready to get to the next level, this is your roadmap to success.
I created some art and did a demo for Samsung’s 2017 Press Conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. I showed off the new Galaxy Book tablet and Staedtler stylus.

I teamed up with 31 Bits to create packaging for their TOGETHER Campaign, launched on International Women's Day. They created a new bracelet as a simple reminder that nobody is a stranger when we stand TOGETHER.

I’d Rather Be Short was written and illustrated by yours truly. This nifty book provides 100 of the greatest reasons to be small. It was published in 2013 by Plume Books (imprint of Penguin Random House). You can order online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound and Books-A-Million.
“5’1″ is the new 6’2″, and Becky’s book proves it.” —Kristen Bell
“As a fellow short person, reading I’d Rather Be Short was, in short, awesome.” —Ashley Rickards, star of MTV’s Awkward
I collaborated with Brit + Co to create a beginner's online illustration course. I talk about inspiration, warm ups, sketching, digitizing, using Adobe Illustrator to manipulate shapes, adding color palettes and more. This is a great class for anyone interested in learning how to digitize their drawings, or just learn the basics of the program.
The class is available now. Sign up today!
I incorporated my Charleston beach pattern into an ad for Adobe in the San Francisco Art Quarterly.
drawn > scanned (I could have used the Capture app because it would have been faster for what I ended up doing) > image trace in Illustrator > live paint > created a repeating pattern
Ruthie Lindsey is a Nashville-based speaker and stylist whose work has been featured in Darling Magazine, The Great Discontent, Better Homes & Gardens, Lonny, and Design* Sponge to name a few.
Ruthie speaks on living a rich, beautiful life in the midst of brokenness and pain, and I had the honor of designing her deck. I decided to do a few illustrations (where she didn't have photos) and emphasize her pictures with frames cut out of construction paper. I went this route for two reasons. 1) I knew this called for something simple and minimal, as to not distract from her powerful story. 2) I wanted to experiment with the process of taking something apart (like cutting paper) and putting it back together for the sake of creating something entirely new. Ruthie's journey wasn't all by choice, but what she's decided to make of it is a powerful testament to humanity's capacity for both resilience and love.
Lavalava is making skincare for women who want to know what's going on their skin. Ingredients are minimal and recognizable.

A collection of illustration projects.
I worked with actress Ashley Rickards and Harlequin Books on her book, A Real Guide to Really Getting It Together Once and for All: (Really). I created over 100 illustrations to explain the information and lighten up the content.
Jess Livel's podcast, the Lively Show, has over 9 million downloads and has been named an iTunes "What's Hot" and "New and Noteworthy." With a loyal fanbase and a conviction to educate the world on intentional living, Jess created an online course called Life With Intention. The class is composed of four modules, and dozens of short videos. We worked together to come up with over 200 illustrations to make these lessons POP.
Cinema & Spice is a web based cooking show inspired by movies and TV. They partnered with Huffington Post to create a few videos featuring holiday-themed recipes. I illustrated the title pages and dozens of animated illustrations throughout the videos.
So Worth Loving is a lifestyle brand that promotes self-worth. I've been doing projects for them since 2014—whether it be t-shirts, web banners, newsletters, social content or pitch decks.
I partnered with Design Milk to show users how to use the Adobe mobile apps, like Adobe Draw, to enhance their work. Check out the full tutorial here.
I created this flowchart for Allure's September 2015 issue. It was later used for ban.do's 2017-2018 agenda.
In December 2015 I led a workshop at Mama’s Sauce called, “Holiday Drawliday,” where we walked through a series of prompts. Attendees drew their version as we went along. It was kind of like a Paint by Numbers and Choose Your Own Adventure mash up. Everybody took home one of my 18×24″ screen printed posters and a letterpressed image bank (courtesy of Mama’s Sauce, Creative Cloud and Creative Live.)
Custom flowcharts for Esperos SOHO, Man Repeller, Allure Magazine, 10 Days and Chipper Things.
More for silly or fun purposes.
